After a second long conversation with my brother, Mark Kimball, I learned that you and Jen played major roles in producing the first issue of the Hallowell Record. Am I correct to assume/remember that you did much/most of the layout?

As a tech geek on the education side, I can fully understand that look you got when you voice your opinion about computer support and backup. Most do not understand the potential of technology to support and publicize this paper, Radio, entertainment calendar, etc. project.

Slowly I am working with Mark to help him build an understanding of how to use technology to hold the project together and the creation of some type of internet portal to inform the public as well as provide a discussion area. I spent several hours setting up a trial website (wordpress blog) to give him a better picture of what it might look like. Not being privy to much detailed information on the non-profit corporation and its goals nor knowing much about Mark's private Dazzle Entertainment and Production business, I couldn't put much content on the blog, but as least there is something there help interested people see how a blog works and how it can help this project move forward in this early networking and brainstorming phase.

Mark made a good point that a vision statement and/or mission statement needs to be developed to guide the project. I presume as a board of directors is assembled, this will begin to be discussed.

What I need now is someone to help me edit and add to the posts/articles in the project blog that I set up. They are merely placeholders at this time. I want to fix them before people start responding. They are too vague at this point for them to permanently reside in this blog. I also need to know the format that the paper (Hall. Record) was created and saved. Please save it as .pdf and email it to me at kimballs@glenburn.net.

Oh, here is the blog URL in case you haven't searched and found it already. http://hallowellrecord.wordpress.com

Mark has said good things about you. I trust his judgement. He says you are a talented graphic design guy. He also mentioned that you were working on redesigning a banner of some sort for the group.

I hope to hear from you or others reall soon as I would like to put some work into the Hallowell Record Blog in the next 5 days as I will be going away for 10 days thereafter and may not have any internet access. That's a real vacation for a geek, but I still wish I had some access.

Please pass the word on my requests and share the website. I will closely control the content on the blog for now until it gets more detailed and accurate information.

Alex, it looks like you are excited about new things going on in Hallowell. From afar, I get the information in chunks but it seems quite exciting to me as well. My brother Mark has seemed to find a way to pursue some of his dreams and build a network of people who share his excitement for music and entertainment. I am excited to see the first issue of The Hallowell Record.

As a tech guy I want to know if I can get an electronic copy of the first issue. Not only do I want to see it, but I would also like to put it online for all to access.

Let me know if I need to speak to others about getting the digital Hallowell Record. Thank you!

I am anxious to learn more about the multiple projects as they begin to come together.
