Anjana to the Rescue

Aside

When hurricane Hannah separated two white tigers from their mother, Anjana came to the Rescue.  Anjana, a chimp at T.I.G.E.R.S.* in South Carolina, became surrogate mom and playmate to the cubs, even helping with bottle feeding, according to The Sun.  But here’s the truly amazing part: This is something Anjana does all the time, having helped raised leopard and lion cubs on several occasions.

The city of Vancouver riots on June 15, 2011 after Canucks Stanley Cup loss

Despite tear gas in the air, rubber bullets flying from police officers guns, crazy, drunk losers setting things on fire and the bottom feeders of humanity looting department stores, these two kids saw an opportunity and took it. Kudos. Celebrity Smack Blog

Towering People

Aside

This is one of the greatest uses of space and structure I’ve seen (today)! The architect firm Choi + Shine created this set of massive electricity transmission towers by simply modifying the existing structures enough to anthropomorphize them. Really quite cool! I don’t think these have been built, but the concept is quite ambitious! Imagine these standing on either side of a river here in Maine.
